In 2009, MakeLoveNotPorn founder and CEO, Cindy Gallop, launched MakeLoveNotPorn.com at TED. The site was made up of a short series of images intended to juxtapose the myths of hardcore porn alongside the way sex happens in the real world. The site received a huge response from people of all backgrounds, ages, sexual orientations, and genders, and this feedback was the inspiration for MakeLoveNotPorn.tv.

These 6 #pornworld vs #realworld infographics continue to help people from around the world better understand how to have porn-cliche free #realworldsex. We’ve put them here so they can continue to be accessible to all.

    I loved your 6 porn world myth busters, but now that you have them in a slideshow, the control buttons obscure the words. Any way to reposition the control buttons?

    Most of your slides are very good, but the one about anal sex has a bad analogy. You can’t compare anal sex for a woman with how a guy would feel if another GUY sticks his cock up his butt! A better analogy would be how it would feel if a woman sticks a dildo up a man’s butt. Nowhere near as gross as the first option, but a much better analogy.

    This is such an important message! The infographics are a great way of breaking down the issue, drawing comparisons and generating understanding.

    I like where this is coming from and this is helpful in many ways, but it is super heteronormative. Any resources for young folks in the LGTBQIA+ community that you know of? Are you willing to make your resources a bit more inclusive for those young folks looking for information? Love, a hetero ally.

      Hi T.D., Thanks so much for your support and your incredibly valid feedback πŸ™‚ The original MLNP.com graphics were created a long time ago and we have always intended to expand them to be more LGBTQA+ inclusive but until now have not had the resources to address that. We are a tiny team who have until very recently been fighting a daily battle to exist. Based on your comment, our team is now looking to find resources about porn-cliches that directly affect LGBTQA+ folks and we’ll add them to this thread soon πŸ™‚ In terms of MLNP.tv, we are actively working to find more LGBTQ+ MLNPstars so that we can represent more diversity on MLNP and so that folks who identify as LGBTQIA+ can access videos that show people they identify with having porn-cliche free #realworldsex.
